The abuser was sentenced to 14 years’ imprisonment and deprivation of his civil rights for 5 years
The five-member Naval Court of Piraeus sentenced a petty officer of the Hellenic Navy, who had sexually abused his partner’s 8-year-old son, to 14 years’ imprisonment.
The court unanimously sentenced the defendant to 14 years’ imprisonment and deprivation of his civil rights for 5 years for repeated rape, seduction of a minor and repeated sexual abuse of a minor, with the aggravating circumstance of being a person on friendly terms with the child’s family. The court also did not grant suspensive effect to the appeal.
